Born from the inspiration of Marie-Paule Deville Chabrolle, this sculpture evokes an athlete at rest, a warrior at peace. Daum's age-old technique elevates the crystal into a grey-blue glass paste, in which the strength and grace of Athena are revealed. The colored transparencies vary with the light, adding a vibrant dimension to this work. Imposing and slender, 'Athena' brings a serene and magnetic presence to your space, inviting contemplation of her eternal beauty.
