Through the crystal, Marie-Paule Deville-Chabrolle freezes the image of a water lily emerging from the water, seen in Phnom Penh long ago: a thin, almost graphic vertical stem and quivering petals, captured in a delicate movement. In its new Rose and Gold edition, unveiled in 2026, 'Lys d'eau' seems to be reviving. The sculpture captures the light, making it circulate through its substance, evoking the water clappotis and the fragility of the flower. The crystal becomes the support to an intimate story, transformed by the expertise of Daum's craftsmen into a lasting, almost timeless piece.
