DESCRIPTION

Two modern sculpture pieces depicting a mother and child whale. Made in a combination of matt and glazed porcelain, the upper part is decorated with rich blue enamels in a gradients effect from the tail towards the head, while the underside features an etching of horizontal lines on matt porcelain. The end result is two pieces that recall the importance of looking after animal life and also transmit beauty and tenderness. Available together or separately.

Whales’ natural ability to navigate and to communicate with each other is crucial in protecting the group and defending themselves from predators, their instinct to protect each other was the perfect subject for Lladró sculptors to explore.
